METHANOL is a clear, colourless, highly volatile liquid with a pungently sweet odour. It possesses a low boiling point, a high rate of evaporation, and polar solvent power.
METHANOL can be used as a fuel or fuel additive to increase the thermodynamic efficiency of internal combustion engines.
As a high-octane vehicle fuel, methanol offers excellent acceleration and power. It also improves vehicle efficiency.
Methanol is a clean-burning fuel that produces fewer smog-causing emissions such as sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter thus can improve air quality and related human health issues.
METHANOL’s other main use is for denaturing ethanol, the resulting MSWP is then not too toxic to use as a solvent, and retains the solvency of the base ethanol.
METHANOL is a bactericide so can be used effectively against mildew and mould.

As a precaution, METHANOL must be kept in secure storage suitable for flammable goods. Ground the liquid in the container when decanting quantities larger than 20L.

INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting obtain medical attention urgently. See inhaled.
INHALED: Give artificial respiration or oxygen if needed, obtain medical attention.
